In a secret corner of our TIME Bicycles warehouse there's a special zone where paint samples, decal experiments and blemished frames hang out. Far from the end of the road, ZONE 9 is more like the hot-spot training center where athletes, ambassadors and TIME employees select the best of the best for personal projects. These frames might be missing a decal or have hard-to-spot beauty marks, but they're rested and ready to accept the mission.
